HycAero And Hycrome Europe are split into two companies HycAero & Hycrome Europe. HycAero primary focus is on special processing of civil airframe components and ancillary equipment. Hycrome Europe is focused on the Oil and Gas Industry processing and repairs of valve and IGT components. Specialist activities in both companies include engineering and design, advanced manufacturing, the application of protective treatments and component repair.
About the role
Due to continued growth within HycAero we are looking for a Skilled Machinist to join the team to support with CNC milling & turning (programming, setting, and operating).

This is a permanent position on the day shift which is Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 12.15pm (35 hours). Hourly rate will range between £15-£16 per hour.

Primary responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings.
- Producing CNC programmes from customer drawings.
- Ability to inspect own work to drawings.
- CNC Programming and Operating Systems.
- Aerospace requirements / standards, tolerancing and controls.
- General high standard of Engineering ability.
- Maintain your area to a high standard of 5S.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (advantageous but not essential)
Experience
- Experience of CNC Milling and Turning.
- Ability to programme, set and operate different machine tools.
- Adept with HAAS controls (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience within the Aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of different materials.
Skills and behaviours
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
