Critical components for aerospace
A coating that can’t be tested at source; an audit trail with a gap; a handoff between suppliers that causes a delay. Each one’s a risk carried forward into the programme.
HycAero removes them all.
Every specialist process runs in-house. Nothing leaves our hands until it meets the standard that’s held for over four decades.
What we do for aerospace
Multiple specialist processes. One approved supplier.
Chemical Processing and Painting
We provide NADCAP-accredited anodising, Zinc Nickel plating, chemical conversion coatings and paint application across aluminium, titanium, steel and specialist alloys.
Thermal coatings where they matter most
Our robotic units apply High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF), Plasma and Electric Arc Wire coatings, which we verify in our in-house metallurgical laboratory. We use these coatings on airframe, landing systems and engine components. All NADCAP-accredited.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
We run NADCAP-accredited NDT on the same site as processing, including penetrant flaw detection, magnetic particle inspection, hardness and conductivity testing.
Precision CNC Machining
We deliver multi-axis CNC machining, electrical discharge machining (EDM) and grinding, supported by in-house CAD/CAM design.
Surface treatment
We carry out NADCAP-accredited shot peening, with Almen intensity verification built into the process.
Heat treatment
We provide NADCAP-accredited solution heat treatment, age hardening and stress relieving.
Already on the approved vendor list.
HycAero holds NADCAP accreditation across multiple specialist processes, AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001 certification, and long-standing customer approvals from Rolls-Royce, Airbus, BAE Systems, Safran, Boeing and GE Aerospace.
Approvals like this take years to earn — and that’s why the critical work comes to Burnley.
Behind every critical component.
The components that leave Burnley end up in aircraft tens of thousands of feet above the ground. That’s our operating standard and it’s why we apply the same checks, the same records and the same accountability to every job. Every time.
